Maple Co exists to help people reconnect with food as a source of nourishment, turning everyday meals into rituals of care, flavour and wellbeing.

What began as a personal ritual of rebuilding health slowly became Maple Co.

After years of experiencing endometriosis, low iron, and constant bloating, our founder Aja, a wellness chef based in Byron Bay, began rethinking how she nourished her body. After following a vegan diet for many years, believing it was the healthiest way to live, she found herself feeling increasingly depleted, with blood tests revealing she was anaemic and not as healthy as she had thought.

Her plant-based diet and synthetic supplements weren’t supporting her, so she began turning to more traditionally nourishing, bioavailable ingredients. She started incorporating bone broth, collagen, and freeze-dried beef liver in powdered form into her meals, alongside the spices she was already cooking with every day.

The shift was profound.

Without realising it, she was creating something new, a simple, nourishing way to bring deeper nutrition into everyday meals.
